Manager, Traffic Engineering

Shane provides more than twenty years of experience as a Project Manager and Project Engineer. His expertise encompasses traffic signal design and ITS plans, roadway design, traffic control and maintenance-of-traffic plans, lighting design and analysis, mobility, safety, and civil engineering and utility design. His project experience extends throughout Ohio (for counties, LPAs, and ODOT), as well as the U.S. for various other agencies including Federal. He also provides expertise on planning-level studies including alternative engineering reports, as well as feasibility and safety studies. Shane was most recently the lead engineer on the ITS efforts for the Akron Beltway design-build project currently being constructed in ODOT District 4 and led the crash and safety analysis efforts on the Brent Spence Bridge project across the Ohio River between Ohio and Kentucky. He has experience with traffic analyses for individual intersections and corridors, safety studies, signal warrant analysis, and traffic impact studies utilizing Highway Capacity Software, Synchro, Vissim, and Sidra. Shane has specialized experience in developing detailed traffic studies for both private and public clients, permanent and temporary signal designs, and providing QA/QC for team members. His technical capabilities also include AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, Open Roads Designer, and Bluebeam. Shane has also worked on projects for the US Army Corps of Engineers and NASA. His experience with these clients include providing traffic studies, drainage analysis and designs, traffic control plans, site and grading designs, and high pressure industrial water system. Shane takes pride in working as a team with the contractor and owner to find innovative solutions to each project’s unique needs while providing cost-effective results that save time and money for the project.
