Home Road at Sawmill Parkway; Intersection Improvements
Delaware, OH
Dynotec was selected as the lead design firm for roadway improvements at the Home Road–Sawmill Parkway intersection.

These improvements supported the development of a new Ohio State University Ambulatory Care facility and included work along Home Road, Sawmill Parkway, and Liberty Road. The scope encompassed traffic signal upgrades at the intersection, installation of two new traffic signals, major and minor widening on Home Road, construction of a shared-use path, and roadway resurfacing. In total, the project spanned 1.92 miles—1.38 miles along Home Road and 0.54 miles along Liberty Road.

Dynotec also oversaw subconsultant work on the Home Road grade-separated bridge structure over the CSXT railroad. This included a bridge load rating and analysis to determine whether the existing structure could withstand the additional load of a new barrier separating the shared-use path from vehicular traffic on the north side of the bridge. Dynotec performed survey work to establish the location of existing beams in relation to the bridge surface, ensuring accurate integration of the new barrier and path alignment.

The Result: The project delivered critical roadway and safety improvements to support increased traffic demands and multimodal connectivity at a rapidly growing regional hub. Dynotec’s leadership and structural expertise provided a seamless integration of pedestrian and vehicular infrastructure while ensuring the long-term performance of the existing bridge structure.
