Dynotec, as a subconsultant to Mull & Weithman Architects, Inc., was responsible for Civil Engineering and Survey for this new City of Columbus Fire Station #36.
The new fire station shall be located at the southeaset corner of Harlem Road and Central College Road in the northeast portion of Metro Columbus between Westerville and New Albany. At approximately 25,000 square feet and one story (also a partial lower basement level), the new fire station will include four apparatus bays, a watch room, sleeping rooms, a kitchen/dining area, a dayroom, EMS storage, a turnout gear storage room, and an EMS triage room. The design includes an external whole-house generator, a location station alerting system, a direct exhaust capture system, and possible solar panel utilization.
Dynotec’s involvment on the design encompassed the stages of space planning/programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, bidding/award, construction management/administration, and project closeout.
