Ohio Reformatory for Women - New Education Building & Campus Electrical Upgrades
Marysville, OH
Dynotec provided architectural and engineering services for a comprehensive campus improvement project that combined new construction, program-specific renovations, and critical infrastructure upgrades.

A central component was the design of a new Education Building to consolidate and expand key academic programs. This modern facility now houses cosmetology, culinary arts, computer labs/web design, GED and higher education classrooms, a library, and teacher offices. The new building also made it possible to demolish the aging annex, replacing it with a state-of-the-art space that better supports student learning.

To accommodate growing technical programs, Dynotec designed a dedicated Construction Technologies Building and oversaw the renovation and expansion of the existing Horticulture Building, including the replacement of its outdated greenhouse. These improvements give each program independent space while supporting future enrollment growth.
The project also addressed significant campus infrastructure needs. Dynotec guided the replacement of multiple electrical generators and transformers and designed solutions to phase out deteriorating utility tunnels. In their place, new high-efficiency boilers were installed in four separate buildings, enhancing energy reliability and reducing long-term maintenance demands.
The Result: The combined academic and infrastructure upgrades not only modernize the learning environment for a diverse range of programs but also extend the functional life of campus systems. By integrating new construction with strategic renovations and system replacements, Dynotec delivered a future-ready campus that enhances both educational outcomes and operational sustainability.
