Green National Guard Readiness Center Parking Lot & Paving Project
North Canton, OH
Dynotec was selected by the Ohio Adjutant General’s Department to provide design services for the Green Readiness Center (RC) and Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) site improvements.

The project scope included the mill and fill of the existing privately owned vehicle (POV) parking lot accommodating 393 vehicles, along with the design of a new 100-space parking lot for the AASF. Due to the sloping site conditions, the new lot required a retaining wall and evaluation of drainage solutions, including a swale ditch and underground storage. Additional site improvements included full-depth replacement of approximately 1,000 feet of main roadway, mill-and-fill rehabilitation of seven driveways, and design of 600 feet of heavy-duty pavement to support convoy vehicle operations.

Dynotec also designed a new two-tier vehicle loading dock to support safe trailer loading and off-loading for both the Transportation Unit and Field Maintenance Shop, improving efficiency of equipment handling. A double dumpster pad with heavy-duty pavement and enclosure was incorporated to accommodate garbage truck operations. To address drainage issues at the Main Gate, where ice previously formed in winter, Dynotec’s design integrated corrective drainage solutions. The geotechnical investigation included fifteen borings to establish pavement requirements and ensure long-term durability of the new infrastructure.

The Result: Dynotec’s comprehensive design enhanced the functionality, safety, and durability of the Green RC and AASF site. The improvements support both daily operations and specialized military needs, such as convoy staging and equipment handling, while resolving long-standing drainage and pavement challenges. The project provided the Ohio Adjutant General’s Department with resilient infrastructure tailored to mission-critical readiness.
